Ellen Adler focuses her law practice on estate planning and administration, including wills, trusts, and probate. She represents individuals, married couples, unmarried domestic partners, and fiduciaries.

Ms. Adler assists clients with charitable inclinations and/or inherited wealth to clarify their goals and facilitate legacy gifts. She also works with members of families addressing challenging issues in business successions.

A pragmatic and creative problem-solver, and a highly effective negotiator, Ms. Adler has a particular talent for explaining complex legal matters in clear, everyday language.

Ms. Adler believes that providing clients with excellent legal representation requires understanding their intentions and concerns; ensuring that they fully understand their options; and respecting their choices. With a Masters Degree in Counseling Psychology and training as a mediator, she brings finely tuned communication skills to discussions of sensitive topics.

Ms. Adler has practiced law in Eugene since 1991. She received her Doctor of Jurisprudence degree from the University of Oregon School of Law in 1989. She also holds a Masters in Counseling Psychology from the University of Oregon (1979). Ms. Adler is a member of the Oregon State Bar section on Estate Planning and Administration. She has an AV Preeminent Rating from Martindale-Hubbell, a peer-review designation awarded to lawyers with the highest ethical standards and professional ability.
